Abstract - Summary (short description): | |
The mantle and cumulative complexes of Koryak ophiolites were formed in different tectonic settings: from early rifting to mature island arcs. Partitioning aspects of platinum group minerals (PGMs) from these complexes are well studied by now. Rare earth elements (REE) partitioning, as a relic of solar protoplanetary matter, persistently correlate with Ca and between light (LREE) and heavy (HREE) rare earth elements within. Thereupon, studying the REE geochemistry in rock-forming upper mantle minerals may help to understand the genesis of PGM during the global evolution of chondrite material. |
