Abstract - Summary (short description): | |
More then 100 calcium deposits of cardiovascular tissue (CVT) were studied by light polarization microscopy and immersion method. The time sequence crystallization of pathological apatite within CVT was defined . The pathological mineralization of CVT are initiated by matrix vesicles (MV) – membrane-enclosed vesicle-like particles. The order of crystallization in MV has 3 stages: Stage1of isotropic in crossed nicol MV, when linear dimensions of incipient crystal are too fine for light microscopy. Stage 2 is characterized by complanate ovate-oblong MV with nonuniform double-refracting and transparent outer shell with turbid internal cast. Stage 3 is breaking of growthing crystals through the membrane of MV and confluence of ellipsoidal MV in parallel lamellar layers. The turbidinternal cast are transformed into discontinuous linear series. They are impervious to light and have a distinguished crystal boundary. Bone tissue does not have the analogue of this imprevious grains. |
