Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Samples of quartz contained high concentrations of structural defects were studied by electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and electron microscopy. The samples were represented diagenetic and epigenetic quartz, quartz of low-temperature hydrotermas, quartz from gold deposits. The results of investigation indicate that isomorphic impurities competition occurs in quartz. Leading role of aluminum in initial stage of isomorphism in quartz was determined.
