Abstract - Summary (short description): | |
Geological setting and forming conditions of hematite-quartz rocks occured in sedimentary deposits of Lis’y Gory paleohydrothermal field were studied. These rocks formed hill-shaped edifices with feeder channels. They are confined to the southern flank of East-Magnitigorsk paleoisland arc. Textural-structural and petrochemical features of hematite-quartz rocks were revealed. Fluid inclusion study of quartz from different shaped veins from all edifice levels (the roof, foot, feeder channel) was carried out. It is established that hematite-quartz rock formation was occured due to chloride-sodium fluids with salinity of 3–3.5 wt % close to seawater. Minimal fluid temperatures are from 290°Ñ (feeder channel) up to 180°Ñ (edifice roof).
Keywords: South Urals, East-Magnotogorsk paleoisland arc, paleohydrothermal field, hematite-quartz rocks, quartz, fluid inclusion study, gas chromatography, fluid inclusions.
