Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Native copper in early Vendian Volyn flood basalts is situated in the typical hydrothermal paragenesis. Hydrothermal system, which led to the formation of the native copper, was characterized by high-gradient and expressive gradients redox potential, concentration Ca, Na and H4SiO4. The presence of gradients caused by mixing solutions that were formed in the volcano-sedimentary basin (reducing conditions, high activity of Na+), and meteoric waters (oxidizing conditions, the high activity of HCO3). Mixing of these solutions in a low porosity medium lava flow leads to the formation of analcime-mordenite vertical zoning. Mixing of the same solutions in the high porosity breccia substrate leads to the formation of lateral analcime-natrolite zonation. In front of the mixing zone was formed paragenesis of the native copper + quartz (chalcedony).
