(short description):
Summary. Among the rocks of diatremes of Belarus (North-Pripiatsky region) two series have been identified: the alkali-ultrabasic, potentially perspective for diamonds, and the alkali-basaltic ones. Study of melt inclusions in magmatic minerals (chrome-spinellides, garnets, chrome-diopsides) allowed drawing the following conclusions: (1) the initial melt has undergone a considerable differentiation; (2) the evolutional trend of the initial melt corresponds to evolutional trends of kimberlites and alkaline basaltoids. The existence of two rock series − the alkaline-ultrabasic (alkaline picrits and olinvine melilits) and alkaline-basaltoidic (ultrabasic phoidits) has been confirmed. In melt inclusions of minerals from alkaline-ultrabasic series the increase of aluminum content and ferruginous factor in residual melts has been determined and that coincides with the trend of compositional evolution typical for kimberlite-like rocks and kimberlites.
