Faults are important pathways for fluid and hydrocarbon migration, and they play a crucial role in petroleum migration and accumulation. It can direct or indirectly get the informations about property and activity characteristic of fluid, through studying fluid inclusions within fault rocks. On the basis of analyses petrographic and fluorescing characterizations, microthermometric and Raman microspectrometric of fluid inclusion in the fault rocks of Qiyueshan fault in the east Sichuan basin indicate that there are two hydrocarbon migrations along the Fangdoushan fault. That is, Fangdoushan fault acted as two pathways for fluid and hydrocarbon migration during its evolutionary history.
