Abstract - Summary (short description): | |
The Moroshkovoe lake area is located in the South-Eastern part of the Monchegorsk Pluton (Kola region). This area is composed of fine- medium-grained norites and pyroxenites intersected by veins of two types: 1) plagioclase-pyroxene and 2) amphibole-quartz-plagioclase composition. Bornite-chalcopyrite-millerite and pyrite-chalcopyrite- millerite types of mineralization are associated with the first type of veins. These types of mineralization are spatially closely associated with the ilmenite-magnetite type and contain the platinum-group minerals. Pyrite-chalcopyrite type of mineralization is closely associated with ilmenite type in the second type of vein bodies. |
