Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Spāalerite is a typical sulphide mineral of most deposits of different formation types. Its utilitarian value and industrial significance is determined by the fact that it is practically the only industrial zinc mineral and also the mineral concentrator of a whole group of elements, namely Ge, Ga, Cd, Te, Se, In and some others that do not normally form their own deposits . The great interest of researchers in the sphalerite present in various mineral associations is due to attempts to use the features of its chemical composition for the reconstruction of ore formation conditions and the typification of ore deposits.
