Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
We succeeded in discovery of carbon nanotubes as a constituent part of matted-fibrous aggregates of nanomineral individuals of multi-walled carbon nano- and microtubes, fullerenes, barrelenes as well as multi-walled micro- and nanoflakes, and amorphous carbon within the unique slag-like vesicular pyro-metamorphic rocks resembling fumarole pipes` fields (Kyzyl-Kum desert, Uzbekistan). Concentration of carbon nanominerals in the occurrence reaches several weight per cents (with carbon nanotubes amongst them reaching up to one third by volume). We used high-resolution transmission electron microscope investigation with up to 1 000 000 magnification (JEM-100B, JEM-2100 and JEM-2100F), Raman spectroscopy, and differential-thermal analysis with mass-spectrometry.
