Qusongite have first been discovered in chromitites of the Luobusa ophiolite, Tibet (Qingsong et al., 2009). Four new occurrences from Mriya lamproite pipe, West Azov block of Ukrainian Shield; Gruzska-Pivnichna and Zelenyi Gay kimberlite-like explosive structures, Kirovograd block of Ukrainian Shield; diamond-bearing clastogenic rocks of Bilikorovychi depression have been studied. Qusongite occur with kimberlite mineral association and assemblage of mantle derived mineral such as diamond; moissanite; metallic spherules (Fe, Cu, Au, Sn, Pb, Cu-Zn); Ti-rich and Ca-rich silicate spherules. We consider qusongite as the component of explosive mantle-derived mineral association (EMMA) related to lower mantle.
