It is established that gold and platinum are an essential component of giant iron ore deposits of KMA and their technogenic products. For the first time six geological genetic types of gold-platinoid mineralization are singled out: sedimentary-metamorphic scattered, stratiform metamorphic-metasomatic, hydrothermal-metasomatic, hypergenic-metasomatic of weathered crusts, sedimentary of unconformity zones (Precambrian-Phanerozoic) and technogenic. The data on the concentrations of noble metals in each of these types are given. About 30 independent mineral phases of PGE and gold in the form of native metals, intermetallides, sulfides, sulfoarsenides, tellurides, bismuthides, etc. are established. Sulfides and their analogues (pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, cobaltite, etc.) are characterized by high contents of Pt, Pd, Au and Ag. The forecast data on the resources of the new non-traditional source of gold-platinoid extraction in the XXI century are presented.
