Karelia’s Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic genetically similar sulphide copper, gold-quartz veined and uranium deposits and ore occurrences make up a large group. They are accompanied by alkaline metasomatism. The ores contain Cu, Ag, Au, Se, S, Mo, Pb, Bi, Te, Th, U. In the Padma Group the ores also carry Pd, Pt, (Ti, V). REE (Ce-La), Zr and Ba are present in all of the ore types. Selenides (Se-galena, clausthalite, naumannite, less fischesserite), Bi-tellurides (goessite, stuetzite, empressite), native Ag, Ag-Au, Te, Se, Ag2S, uraninite, breunnerite, thorite, sphene, hematite, REE minerals (monazite, xenotyme, parisite, bastnaesite), zircon and barite are indicator minerals of the above ores. Keywords: Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic auriferous deposits. Alkaline metasomatic rocks.Indicator minerals of ores: Se-galena, clausthalite, naummanite, fischesserite, native elements – Ag-bearing gold, electrum, kustelite, silver, tellurium, rare Ag-Cu-Bi-tellurides, uraninite, breunnerite, thorite, sphene, hematite, barite, zircon, REE minerals.
