Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Metamorphic ilmenite it is widely distributed in metapelite rocks of precambrians folded belts of Taimyr district, Polar Urals, Timanian ridge and Kola peninsula. Its chemical features considerably differ from those of magmatic ilmenite, that allows to distinguish sources for modern and ancient titanium placers.
