Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Two the factors determine the specificity of mixed-crystal growth including the isomorphic component selection. Crystal bulk is characterized by a chaotic-mosaic distribution of micro-parts possessing various ratios of isomorphic components. Distributions of mass precipitated mixed crystals in composition and sizes are bimodal or polymodal. These fundamental effects are caused by growth specificity of mixed crystals. The first one is a metasomatic exchange reaction between a crystal and solution (salting-out reaction), which is the universal mechanism of self-regulating composition by a crystal. The next one is a special state of metastable heterogeneous equilibrium of solid and liquid solutions for at least two discrete crystal compositions, which determine surviving growth protuberances on the crystal surface and spontaneous individuals at mass precipitation. Such effects occur along with the phenomena of crystal zoning and sector construction.
