Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
The new genetic direction is proved for identification of crystal and amorphous silica minerals' jewellery varieties. Genetic gemmology uses those gemmological characteristics and their combinations which are unequivocal deal to concrete conditions of formation of various varieties of quartz and noble opal in natural and artificial conditions. Depending on those conditions the possibility of identification of all varieties of natural and synthetic quartz and noble opal are estimated.
