Abstract - Summary
(short description):
The morphological features and composition of unusual black apatite from Lower Paleozoic rocks of the uralide/preuralide interformational contact zone in Manytanyrd Ridge (Polar Urals) have been reported. The grains of apatite contain inclusions of xenotime, allanite and ilmenite. The morphological features, absence of impurity elements and paragenetic associations indicate hydrothermal genesis of this mineral with unusual appearance.
