Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Sr-bearing minerals celestine and srontianite are not uncommon in altered kimberlites of Jakutia. According to our data, these alterations were caused by processes of regional low-grade metamophism of plunging of post-trappean age (232 122 ). Celestine, strontianite and associated barite and calcite/dolomite form veinlets and nests, filling fractures of hydrorupture in metakimberlites. Celestine are partially or completely replaced by strontianite in zones of jointing due to increase of CO2 fugacity in metamorphogenic fluid; it usually happens under temperature decrease. Mineral associations, thermobarometry data and isotope compositions of Sr, C and O indicate the metamorphogenetic-hydrothemal genesis of celestine and srontianite. Gas-liquid inclusions composition in celestine shows that the mineral was formed under temperatures from 306 to 82 with the participation of chloride brines, the source of which, obviously, were evaporites from terrigene-carbonaceous series, containing kimberlite pipes.
