Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
The study was carried out for astrophyllite-supergroup minerals that contain Fe2+ as one of the major cations. These minerals experience a phase transition when heated above 500 C. The phase transition is due to thermal iron oxidation and it results in propeties change: colour, the nature of thermal expansion and contraction, magnetic susceptibility.
