Abstract - Summary 
(short description):
Single crystals of K5[(UO2)4(SeO4)6(H2O)2](NO3)(H2O)8 (1) were prepared by evaporation from 2 ml aqueous solution of uranyl nitrate, potassium carbonate and selenic acid. Compound 1 has a monoclinic symmetry, space group C2/c, a = 20.290(4) Å, b = 10.380(2) Å, c = 21.436(4) Å, V = 103.446(3) o, V = 4391.0(13) Å3. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods from X-ray diffraction data and refined by the least-squares method to R1 = 0.027 (wR2 = 0.066) for 6405 reflections with |Fo| ≥ 4σF.
