Dear all Ramanists and Raman fans,

Our best wishes for a New Year full of health, happiness, prosperity, and creativity!

We are pleased to announce the upcoming 16th International GeoRAMAN Conference, which will take place from 24 to 27 September 2024 on the island of Rhodes, Greece. Since the first GeoRAMAN conference organised in Paris (France) in 1986, the GeoRAMAN conference has brought together Ramanists from different disciplines from all over the world all these years, creating a vibrant, enthusiastic and long-term committed community that has made the biennial meeting a strong tradition.

The GeoRaman2024 conference will cover a wide range of applications of Raman spectroscopy in the geosciences sensu lato, including:

• Petrology and Mineralogy, • Gemmology,

• Planetary Sciences and Exobiology,

• Cultural heritage and Archaeometry,

• Geo-environment and Geo-Energy,

• Raman Techniques and Instrumentation.

Following a long tradition of successful special issues on GeoRAMAN conferences, we will also publish a special issue of the Journal of Raman Spectroscopy with peer-reviewed papers.
